Geointer was founded over 41 years ago by Mr. José Antonio García Alonso (†) of Spanish nationalilty. He took his first steps in this field in Switzerland, where he worked for over 15 years for prestigious European companies before traveling to Venezuela with a clear vocation to carry out projects and execute works related to soil mechanics and special foundations. Over the years, he managed to position the company as one of the most serious and capable in South and Central America, developing over time a highly qualified team supported by the most modern drilling equipment and techniques. With so many years in this field, he implemented a personal brand capable of solving complex problems by adjusting the cost/security factor as a basic premise.

OUR HISTORY
How We Started
Since its inception, Geointer has been characterized by being an innovative company, overcoming adversities and maximizing human potential. With perseverance and discipline, we have managed to position ourselves as one of the most important companies specialized in soils and subsoils.
1983
Foundation
Mr. José García emigrates from Europe to Venezuela, working in many types of drilling techniques, where he later stablished “Ingeniería de Suelos Geointer”, bringing his extensive knowledge to the field.
1993
Company Improvement
Continuing with the futuristic vision, our first hydraulic drilling equipment is acquired, originating from Italy.
2010
Internationalization
The company expands into Central America, executing the first project in San Jose, Costa Rica,
Costa Rica.
2014
New offices
Responding to the region’s needs
new branches are opened in Panama, Nicaragua
and Ecuador.
2018
Significance
The construction of the Binational Bridge Project Panama - Costa Rica (Sixaola) is executed, carrying out the deepest piles in Costa Rica as of today´s date (52.0 m).
2022
Expansion
Our first piling work is carried out in El Salvador, making the construction of an underpass at the “Integración” roundabout, San Salvador.
