Oblong Piles
Barrettes or Oblong piles are foundations that resist high load capacities, for structures that require it. These can be constructed with or without a water table, and as an advantage, they do not produce vibrations during their construction, can work in minimal clearances with neighboring structures (less than 30 cm), absorb a large amount of load due to their dimensions, which vary in size from 60, 80, 100 to 120 cm wide and 250 cm long. For cases of even greater loads, oblong piles can be combined, generating cross-shaped and double T-shaped forms. For their execution, mechanical or hydraulic machines with clamshell buckets are used, with a process similar to that of drilled piles.
